“Jimmy picked me up at the airport and was a pleasure to talk to throughout the ride. I was nervous about my visit home, and I was calmed by the conversation about our love for the same music (played at my request.) We traded artist names and favorite bass lines, and it was exactly what I needed in that moment. Seeing Jimmy again, on my trip back to the airport was, once more, exactly what I needed. My 'vacation' had been rough. As I got in the car to say my hello, my voice broke, and within seconds, I was in tears, unable to speak. In those moments, Jimmy comforted me. Truly. And as I regained composure, he let me tell him of my mother's rapidly failing health, finally releasing the sadness I'd spent my time hiding behind a son's smile. As with the previous ride, I asked for music. Again, we fell into a life-affirming conversation about the songs and artists that moved us. And, as before, I was able to smile, laugh, and hum along to the bass riffs. Thank you, Jimmy. It meant everything to me.”

“Our family reunion needed transportation with a smaller group being picked up in 2 locations to get through the narrow streets and street corners in the city of Charleston. Basic Black Limousines know this city’s streets, and traffic patterns so well and they have their way of navigating it that beats the GPS system. The drivers are simply the best!! We had 3 and they were in sync, handled our handicap issues and were both patient and courteous. I recommended them to those who are also sensible, patient and courteous, and, I hope that they will only accept transporting those who are , too.”
